Priority consideration given to students whose FAFSA is filed by March 2 and supplemental documents are submitted by May 1

Undergraduate students with no previous bachelor's degree who also qualify for Federal Pell Grants

Cal Grant A $100 to $6,636 (Fees)

FAFSA and GPA Verification Form must be postmarked by March 2

California resident undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.00 who meet the family income and asset requirements of the program

Cal Grant B $100 to $1,551 (Stipend)
$100 to $6,636 (Fees)

FAFSA and GPA Verification Form must be postmarked by March 2

California resident undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 2.00 who meet the family income, asset, and disadvantaged background requirements of the program

UCR Grant $100 to $12,410

Priority consideration is given to students whose FAFSA is filed by March 2 and whose supplemental documents are submitted by May 1

Undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need for the first 16 quarters (or equivalent) of college attendance

Academic Competitiveness
(ACG) Grant

$700 first academic year of study

$1,300 second academic year of study

FAFSA must be received by UCR prior to student’s last day of attendance in the award year

Federal Pell Grant recipients who are U.S. citizens, enrolled in their first or second academic year of study, who have completed a rigorous secondary school program of study

National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent (SMART) Grant

$4,000 third academic year of study

$4,000 fourth academic year of study

FAFSA must be received by UCR prior to student’s last day of attendance in the award year

Federal Pell Grant recipients who are U.S. citizens, enrolled full time in their third or fourth academic year of study, who are majoring in physical, life or computer science, engineering, mathematics, technology, or a critical foreign language, and have at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average in their major
