A number of scholarships are available to currently enrolled UCR students who are returning for the following academic year. In order to apply for these awards, you must complete the UCR Continuing Student Scholarship Application online. Applications are available annually in December with a submission deadline of March 3.
The scholarships listed below have specific requirements for qualification. Most require a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better and may be based on demonstrated financial need. The scholarship award amounts range from $100 to $5000. The total number of scholarships awarded is approximately 30. Scholarship applications require submission of an essay. Students who do not complete an essay will not be considered for a scholarship. In your essay, you should describe your educational objectives and career goals. Include reasons for your choice of major and academic accomplishments you have realized thus far. The selection committee is also interested in extracurricular activities, and voluntary campus/community service or leadership activities in which you may have participated. Essays should be limited to 500 words or less.
Please contact the Financial Aid Office at 1156 Hinderaker Hall or via e-mail at finaid@ucr.edu if you have questions. Various outside agency scholarship applications are also available at our front counter.
